Taking the Georgia Assessments for the certification of educators, (GACE ESOL) ?
Georgia Assessments for the certification of educators (GACE) English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) examination is used to certify public school teachers in Georgia who wish to teach English to students of other languages. The GACE ESOL exam is used to ensure that certified teachers display necessary skill and competence in the subject area. The exam is being administered by the Pearson Evaluation System group as written and computer based tests.

Online registration for the computer based test format is available 24 hours, everyday subject to availability of the test site.
Registration for the GACE ESOL test is $70
Candidates will also have to pay a $25 application processing fee
Candidates who wish to take the computer based test will also need to pay an additional $30
The GACE English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) test contains 2 tests
Each of the tests is made up of 2 sections, a section made up of 30 selected-response questions and a section made up of constructed-response assignments
Language and Language acquisition 30 selected-response questions and 1 constructed response assignment
ESOL Cultural and professional Environments 30 selected-response questions and 1 constructed response assignment
ESOL Planning, Implementation, and Assessment 30 selected-response questions and 1
ESOL Instruction 30 selected-response questions and 1 constructed response assignment
Results for the GACE ESOL test are represented in a scaled score of 100 to 300
A minimum score of 220 is needed to pass the GACE ESOL exam
